Our
Zuni jewelry is made by a group of artisans, The Zuni Craftsmen
Cooperative, on the Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. The Zuni
use two
different techniques: channel inlay and needlepoint or petit point.
Zuni jewelry is made with Sterling Silver, but the silver is
secondary,
being the means by which the stones and shells are held together.
The Zuni mainly use turquoise, pipestone, jet, lapis, malachite and
exotic shells such as mother-of-pearl, coral, white clam, green snail,
melon and pink shell.Click
